Supplements You May Want to Consider When Taking TRT

We get asked this one all the time — “What supplements should I take if I’m on TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy)?” Whether you’re just starting or already on it, there are a few vitamins, herbs, and natural compounds that might help support your overall health and optimize your results while on TRT.

Let’s dive into a few of our go-to suggestions.

Quick Disclaimer:

We’re not doctors. These are just our personal opinions and experiences. Always talk to your physician — especially the one managing your TRT — before adding anything new to your supplement stack. At the end of the day, it's definitely up to your doctor.

Vitamin D

A lot of guys who end up on TRT are found to be low in vitamin D, and honestly, most people are—especially in the winter. Keeping your vitamin D levels up can support hormone health and overall well-being. Definitely worth adding.

Zinc

You'll find zinc in just about every testosterone booster out there. It helps support natural testosterone production and overall energy levels.

Vitamin B-12

Some people report feeling more tired or even a bit lethargic on TRT, which is where B-12 comes in. It helps reduce fatigue and can support energy metabolism.

Rhodiola

John brought this one up — Rhodiola is great for natural, non-stimulant energy and mental clarity. If you’re feeling mentally drained or looking for focus without caffeine, this might be a solid addition.

Magnesium Glycinate

Magnesium has exploded in popularity, and for good reason. It’s great for muscles, nerves, sleep, and overall relaxation. Magnesium glycinate is one of the most bioavailable forms and super easy on the stomach.

Ashwagandha

This one’s been around for ages. Ashwagandha helps lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and support natural testosterone.

Ginger & Potassium Nitrate

Here’s where it gets interesting — TRT can thicken the blood, so improving blood circulation is important. Ginger helps with circulation, and potassium nitrates convert into nitric oxide, supporting blood flow.

John mentions in our YouTube video, (you can check it out here), NutraBio Beets as a natural source of nitrates — another great option for heart health and circulation. Just avoid the processed food nitrates — stick to good stuff like fruits and veggies.
