Can You Take Pre-Workout On A Plane?
If you are cautious about traveling with your supplements, check out this blog post about my own personal experience on traveling with supplements and how to store them in your luggage.
I have traveled with pre-workout in the past and I typically store them in plastic bags. I know it sounds sketchy, storing white powder in a plastic bag, but I haven't had any issues with the way I store it in my luggage. But it is important to store your pre-workout in a clear bag. Now, TSA will test your powders sometimes, especially if you are taking the entire tub.
According to the TSA website, you are able to take pre-workout on a plane, however you want to be aware that they may test it for illegal substances. On the TSA site, you can take it on your carry on bag or your checked bag.
When you are traveling with pre-workouts, you want to make sure you keep in mind the 3-1-1 rule. You are limited to a maximum volume of 3.4 ounces for each, and items have to packed in a single quart sized bag. You also want to make sure it is less than 12 ounces otherwise TSA will test any powder substances over 12 ounces.
Overall, you can bring pre-workout or really any powdered supplement on a plane. As long as it is packed correctly and there is no illegal substance in the supplement you are bringing on vacation, you should be good to go!
Tips For Packing Pre-Workout?
- You want to make sure your pre-workout is in small containers. Find something that will fit the right amount of pre-workout you need for vacation. Make sure the container is clear too.
- If you are bringing pill forms of supplements, bring a pill case or organizer to store your supplements
- Put everything in a resealable plastic bag. This will help prevent any leaks or spills in your luggage, plus it always good to put your supplements in something clear, so it is easier for TSA to check.
- Be sure to pack a shaker or two, just in case you lose one or if someone else on your vacation wants pre-workout too.
